Technical Sales and Support Manager


Responsible for overseeing a sales & support staff consisting of 8+ individuals. Manage customer satisfaction and overall experience; ensure sales support team has access to the necessary resources and maintains adequate technical knowledge; ensure technical sales resources are maintained and up-to-date and conveyed in our communications.


  • • Experience leading and managing teams • Strong technical aptitude with desire to learn new industry technologies • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated technical writing skills • Strong work ethic and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction • Strong ability to work with others in a team environment • Excellent computer proficiency including MS Word and Excel • Engineering/Science degree or equivalent experience required
  • • Maintain a smooth flow of work in the office by ensuring the most efficient practices are being used. Assist co-workers in solving application questions, repair questions, invoice problems and any other questions that may arise. • Manage corporate webinar program, and conduct training seminars in-house and abroad. • Attend trade shows and manage a team of salespeople at events in North America and around the world. Responsible for all received leads, responsible for communicating correct and appropriate company/product information as well as company image • Regularly audit sales/support calls and email correspondence. Provide feedback to maintain consistency, technical correctness and corporate message in our daily communications. • Manage sales order process and flow from initial order to receipt of goods by customer; look for opportunities and efficiencies to improve the overall process; handle issues as they arise and develop solutions to avoid reoccurrence. • Manage product support documents including instruction manuals, guides and help files • Assist with the selection of new sales support staff and training development • Participate in technical writing and presentations • Telephone sales calls - recommend the best instrument, point out features applicable to the particular situation, assist others on difficult calls, share unique and helpful experiences with the sales team; resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. • Keep abreast of changes in the industry, with competitors and with our own products; self-train and stay current • Chair the weekly Sales meeting. • Responsible for Latin American market; support and monitor dealer sales/marketing activity; report quarterly to management • Complete various projects as assigned
